Happy Monday Special

Good morning. I have decided today to offer everyone I know a special discount to my shop Sweet Pea Cakes, etc. The discount is 10% off your order when you enter SPECIAL at the checkout. So why did I decide to do this? Well several reasons. 1.) I have been wanting to sell my townhouse and move into a bigger home. To do so with the market as stinky as it is requires a down payment and to be able to sell my place. I either have to wait to be in business longer to qualify or show a heck of a lot more income and a 10% down payment. YIKES. So in fear of having to go to back to the "real" working world I am on crunch time to triple my sales. After being home with my kids for over a year the idea of leaving them at all , even a few hours a day, let a lone the idea of 40 hours plus all the commute time, makes me teary eyed and sad. What fun is having children if I see them two hours in the evening and for a few on the weekend in between cleaning house, running errands, going to church, and making meals???? UGH. So cross your fingers and pray that something awesome is going to happen for my family. 2.) I have launched several new products which I am stoked about. Baby bathtime towel cakes and Children bathtime towel cakes. Both cakes are made from towels (the baby cakes have handmade hooded towels too!) with handmade pajamas inside and lots of bath fun. They come in several choices with even more summer fun up ahead. So check them out and see what you think.

I also have decided to offer this special since I will soon be retiring many of my diaper cakes I am offering now to make room for all new designs. There will be a special OOAK (one of a kind) diaper cake page that will launch this week with special diaper cakes where there will be only ONE of each kind. It will be so neat! I am really excited.

Also I want to take the time to bring everyone's attention over to Make a Child Smile website. I think this is such a neat way to get involved personally with charitable giving. Here are children going through a rough time with life, with families by their side endearing all this hardship. Why not brighten their day with a card, a letter, coloring books, toys, handmade gifts, and things of that nature? Munchie Mallow sends a gift over to a different sponsored child each month. Other companies are beginning to sponsor children. And yes I am all for it. My daughter is going to be making cards to wish these children brighter days and helping to make little care packages. I encourage all of you to check out the site.

Alright this post is a lot longer than I planned. I hope you are having a fantastic start to your week. Leave a comment so I know you stopped by and I hope you come back later this week for a book giveaway (sneak preview - "The Baby Gizmo buying guide") and more!
